Punk Juice – Riot! GRRRL & Scum – Reviewed

So a huge thank you to Ashley over at ELFC for sending me the 3 new additions to the Punk Juice Range. I was really excited to be able to test these as the first 4 I tried where pretty damn good. Vicious is still an all day vape for me… I get through loads of it!

I mixed these all at 10%, 0.3% nic and 70/30 VG/PG.  10% is plenty of flavour for me  even though recommended % on ELFC is 15-20% . I really don’t like strong overpowering vapes, but you folks should probably mix as you normally would. I vaped these from first mixed, no real steeping time, although I have been vaping these for around a week now, and didn’t notice a huge difference in taste. Maybe more balanced after a few days.

So onto the new flavours…. Continue reading “Punk Juice – Riot! GRRRL & Scum – Reviewed”

NCR RDA – Nicotine Reinforcer – Is It Dangerous?!

Is The NCR Dangerous??

So I was sent this NCR for review, and my initial thing was to wick it up and have a little play with it, set the curve feature on my mod to what the instructions said (I watched these on a youtube vid as the actual instructions in the package where very vague to say the least) So curve mode at 70-90w to start for a couple of seconds, dropping down to 50w-ish for the rest of the duration.

The first thing I noticed was the resistance didn’t seem stable at all, it would start off cold at around 0.4ohms, but then as it got hot the resistance tended to shoot upwards, 0.5ohms, 0.58, 0.62, 0.67 and you get where I’m going with this, so that was a little bit weird.

The second weird thing was how hot everything got, the mod started to feel extremely warm and I don’t get that if I’m vaping SS or kanthal at 80w. I went to remove the NCR to pop it onto another mod, and the 510 threads were that hot I actually couldn’t touch them!

Anyhow, I decided to post pics on my forum, which we all do when we get something new. One of my members came back with a video that had been posted this week by Jai Haze:

So I instantly thought “Whooaaa!!” Is this true?? Did a little searching around and found a Reddit thread on the same topic.

This snippet is taken from the Reddit page if you don’t fancy popping over and reading the whole thread

“One more thing , I contacted a SST aluminum nitride maker in the USA. I asked them in their opinion would it be harmful to heat this material and vape e-liquid off of it ..they told me no way would they tell someone it was OK to vape from this material . They told me it would cause severe nerve damage and when they make it they have to wear a full body protection suit and very high grade breathing mask because of the dust from making this material.”

Doesn’t sound good does it!? So at this stage the NCR is now on the table, and I’m thinking no way am I vaping this thing ever again!

Wafer Material?

One question in my mind… How does anyone know whether this wafer is definitely made from this material? I did find this:

Source of the image   E-cigarette Forum. Note the Wafer Material SST aluminium nitrade

However not many vendors actually selling the NCR state what the wafer is made from. And searching around the good old internet doesn’t pull much info up at all about the NCR RDA

Sooo…. this is more of a keep an eye open until more info comes to light, but me personally, I’ve boxed the thing back up and don’t intent to use it.

One strange thing, about half an hour after starting to use the NCR I did mention to my hubby that I had a headache that had appeared out of no where!

So please if anyone has any info do comment below, or pop on over to our forum and let us know your findings.

This does deserve to be taken very seriously, and it really isn’t worth risking your health over!

Box it up, put it away and wait for more info to come to light!

Just a quick hello folks to let you know what’s coming up for Review for the rest of this month!

Had some vapemail delivered today from the lovely Zoe at Efun.top

Its the Geekvape Blitzen RTA. Didn’t have to wait too long for its arrival from oversea’s. I got the dispatched note on 02/01/018 and it dropped through the door today. Well actually it didn’t, the red card from the postman did!! ‘We’re sorry we missed you’ – Yeah I bet you are, I haven’t been out all day and yet when you called I wasn’t in!! Anyhow thats another story. But it was a couple of weeks getting here which is pretty normal from the China region.

I’ve been vaping on the Blitzen for the last couple of hours, and I don’t want to give too much away, but I have to say it’s pretty nice!!  🙂

Also up for review this month is the Vaptio Turbo RDTA tank. Now I have been using this in tank set up for a few days, and yeah it’s pretty good. Just need to give it a test run in dripper mode, and I can start to  jot down my thoughts and let you guys n gals know what I think!

So thats it for now, please follow me on Twitter and Instagram. And do come and join my forum, yeah I know, everyone prefers social media sites these days, but we have a fab bunch of members, and we are a fun loving, down to earth bunch of nutters!!

You can of course find me and my wonderful members here at Ceekays Vape Shack  Between us all, what we don’t know about vaping, ain’t worth knowing! 😀

Vaptio C-II Starter Kit Review

This was sent to me by the lovely Jason over at Vaptio, thanks very much Jason

It’s been a while since I’ve used a tube type devise, used to love them a few years ago, but I kind of got used to using box mods, so I did wonder how I would get on with this…. anyhow, lets start off with specs.

Basic Specs:

Battery Capacity:3000mAh
Battery Type:Build-in
Wattage Range:30~100W
Max Output Current:25A
Max Output Voltage:4.2V
Resistance Range:0.25Ω for Kanthal
Charging Interface:Micro-USB
Passthrough: NO
Product Size (L*W*H):141×Φ25

Atomizer Basic Spec

Resistance Range:0.15Ω~0.25Ω
E-liquid capacity:2.0ml

First Thoughts – Look & Feel

Opening the box I was greeted by the mod, nestled in the normal pretty high quality packaging that Vaptio use. The box contains the C-II mod, a couple of attys both 0.25ohms, a charging lead and of course an instruction manual that leaves practically everything to the imagination! The mod is rather chunky looking. Black in Colour, but its like a rubberised finish which feels really nice to hold. It feels quite weighty which of course does give it that air of quality that some devices never seem to manage.

VapeWild – Assorted Flavours Review – Part Two

So following on from the first 4 flavours which I reviewed last week (and that can be found here. ) I have been busy trying out the other 4. Once again a huge thanks to Vapewild for sending these out for me to try. In the package there was also some Vapewild stickers, a steeping guide, and vapeband/tankband whatever you want to call it, and some Vapewild business cards.

I just want to mention (as I forgot in the other review) that I opted for the ‘heavy VG’ at 3mg (0.3%) nicotine.

OK lets get cracking with these four flavours. Same as last time, Vapewilds description in italics, following on with my thoughts after  Continue reading “VapeWild – Assorted Flavours Review – Part Two”
