Initial Thoughts & Looks

So when I opened the box the first thing to greet me was the colour, I think it’s supposed to be purple but it’s more of a magenta/pink kind of colour. I like it, it’s feminine and fun!

I’ve always loved Pico’s, I’ve got through 3 of the standard pico’s (I kind of worked them to death!)
And I’ve always loved cute, small little novelty type mods, so this ticks both of those boxes. The thing is though small and cute mods don’t really cut it for me anymore, I’m more used to larger devices now. But… I’ll give small and cute a go  Continue reading “Eleaf iStick Pico Baby Review – ‘Stealth Anyone?’”

Wotcha folks, staying in the starter kit category in this review with the iJust 3 that the lovely folks at Eleaf sent out for me to test, thank you to Holy for arranging this. How it Looks & Initial Thoughts on the iJust 3

I was pleasantly surprised when I opened the box and was greeted by this lovely purple patterned mod. But as we all know it’s not just about looking good, it actually has to work well too! Continue reading “Eleaf iJust 3 – Could This Be ‘Just’ What You Need?”

The Uwell Nunchaku Review

So Ceekays vape shack has teamed up again with Vaporl for the month of April, and the lovely folks there sent me out the Uwell Nunchacku for me to feast my beady eyes upon, and what a treat it is! Had to look up Nunchaku in the dictionary… knew I’d heard it before (I was maybe thinking of nunchuck on the Wii  a Japanese martial arts weapon consisting of two hardwood sticks joined together by a chain, rope, or thong. Hmm there you go!

Lets start with the Nunchaku specs

Tank Capacity: 5ml
Mod Size: 27.4mm(d) x 94.5mm(h)
Material:stainless steel & quartz glass & copper &silicone
Power Range: 5-80W
Working Modes: Power Mode, TC Mode(Ni, SS), Bypass Mode
Battery Type: 1 x 18650

Resistance Range: 0.1Ω-3Ω(VW), 0.1Ω-1Ω(TC), 0.1Ω-0.5Ω(Bypass)
Temperature Range: 200°F-600°F/100°C-300°C
A new generation of E-cigarette control panel by our independent R&D, makes the tube as safe as a box mod.
Replacement 18650 battery or charge over usb
Plug-pull coils, easy to replace.

In the box

1 x Nunchaku Mod
1 x Nunchaku Atomizer
1 x Extra Quartz Glass
1 x 0.25Ω Coil(pre-installed)
1 x 0.4Ω Coil
1 x Pack of Replacement O-rings
1 x Micro USB Cable
1 x User Manual
1 x Drip Tip Cover(used to cover the drip tip while not using)

So when I opened the box I was thoroughly impressed with the way the Nunchaku was packed. The tank and battery section were in separate slots and both were wrapped in extremely soft plastic (maybe not plastic) bags… I could see the colour through the bags and this caught my attention straight the way…. Blue! One of my favouite colours. Now as you all now, I’m a bit shallow in the fact that I do like mods to look nice, and I’m not overkeen on the colour black for mods (boring!) so I couldn’t wait to get this baby unwrapped…. so skip forward a couple of minutes, and I may have looked a little like this :love2: Continue reading “The Uwell Nunchaku Review”

Aspire SkyStar – Could This Be The Star in Aspires Line Up?

After reviewing the Aspire Speeder a while ago (and hating it) I promised myself that I would never touch another Aspire product in my life. However when the Skystar came out, I kind of went against my own rules! (I’m a woman! We’re allowed to do that!) I loved the look of the mod, and thought I would give Aspire a second chance

So I ordered that SkyStar Revvo kit. The Revvo is already reviewed and you can see that here, but these are my thoughts on the SkyStar mod.

Bearing in mind that I purchased this as a kit, these are the specs:

Aspire SkyStar Mod Specs

210W Maximum output Power
1.3 inch Touch Screen
Spring Loaded 510 Connection
Two 18650 Batteries (Not Included)
Micro USB Port for Charging/Firmware updates

In The Box:

1x Aspire SkyStar 210w Mod
1x Aspire Revvo Tank
1x Protective Silicone Cap
1x Micro USB Charge Cable
2x Revvo Tank Coils
1x Replacement Glass
1x User Manual
1x Warranty Card

Initial Thoughts

When I opened the box I was pleasantly surprised, the SkyStar doesn’t look half bad. In it’s pics it reminded me of a shiny pebble, like one of those chalk rocks you find on the beach that has been smoothed all over by rolling around in the sea! I got the white one, which is maybe why I have that image in mind. It’s also available in some other different colours and finishes, including woodgrain! (hate that one! )

Picking it up out of the box, and I was surprised, the SkyStar is lightweight… very lightweight. No idea why, but I tend to put light mods like this instantly in the cheap pile! The second thing that made it feel cheap, it feels plasticky! These back and front panels are just cheap plastic… ughh not a good start Aspire  :no2: and I so wanted you to redeem yourself with this mod. The chrome parts are metal, which is good, after the panels I was expecting them to be plastic covered in some kind of metallic paint, but I guess Aspire didn’t totally cheap it out! The Vaptio Super Bat Kit – Hero or Villain?

First impressions

When I opened the box, I was quite surprised at how shiny the Super Bat mod actually is. I have the red and silver version, the red is a matte finish, with the silver being glossy and smooth. It looks really great, a real fun looking mod. It has Batman shaped head on the front with light up eyes! (and we all know how much I like LED’s ) I love the look this, it’s a bit of fun and makes the mod look really great. The two side panels are silver, one is a full panel button, like you get on some of the smok mods.

The back of the mod has what I can only assume is the back of Batman‘s head  :dunno: and maybe his wings? This incorporates six LEDs that you can set to flash, pulse, solid colour, there seem to be plenty of options. Or if you don’t like your mod looking like Blackpool illuminations you can switch the LEDs off completely   :wink2:

The mod is quite heavy even without a couple of batteries installed, but it does have a real good quality feel to it.

Initial Thoughts

Now Smok, most people either love their gear or hate it. For the record I have never hated Smok products, but I’ve never loved them either (I know, I’m contradicting my own statement there) but there are some people that are m’eh towards Smok products. That was me. I’ve owned them, I’ve used them, but there was nothing particularly special about Smok products. They are decent mods, and for me they have worked as they should. But, nothing has ever made them stand out as superb.

So the X-Priv arrived in a smart black box, as most of their products do, with the typical outer sleeve. Pretty sturdy packaging which is great as this kit had a long journey. On opening the box I was actually in awe at the X-Priv. Gone is Smoks ultra crappy paint job! In it’s place is one of the most amazing rainbow mods that I have actually seen!  :love2: The X-Priv looks like it’s anodised! The colours are vibrant and shiny! Not a hint of paint waiting to chip can be seen anywhere!

Vaptio Solo 2 Kit – Review

Yes I did go out in the snow to get that pic! Crazy?…. Little bit!  :ting:
The Vaptio Solo 2 was sent to me by Jason, so I can give it the once over and see what I think – Huge thanks to Jason.

Solo 2 Specs

3000mAh Battery
>0.15ohm Resistance Range

10 Second Safety Cut-off

Solo 2 – In The Box

1 x Solo 2 Device
2 x 0.25 Kanthal Coils
1 x USB Cable
1 x User Manual

First Thoughts, Looks & Feel

First thoughts on opening the box, love the colour!! These rainbow colours really are very pretty. It’s quite a chunky tube (pen type) mod, with Vaptio – Solo 2 printed onto the bottom of the battery and next to the button you have the setting options, with colour and power setting. This is meh! Maybe this could have been made on a little plastic sticker that you could remove if you didn’t want an instruction set on the side of your mod! However… it is handy to have the options there to see. Saves getting the manual out I suppose! Continue reading “Vaptio Solo 2 Kit – Review”

Wismec Luxotic – Luxurious or Luxed Out?

Before anyone says it… I know Luxed isn’t a word!  :laughtears:

It seems that a lot of companies are jumping on the ‘squonk wagon’ right now and why should Wismec be any different! Now they’ve had their fair share of cracking devices (some that have developed problems with the 510, or in my case sticky buttons) but they have had some pretty good innovative designs over the last few years. And it always seems one step better when it has Jaybo’s name on it.

So onto the Wismec Luxotic specs:

Size: 43.2*25.1*76.7mm
Thread type: 510 spring loaded connector
Cell type: high-rate 18650 cell
Max output wattage: 100W

Tobhino BF RDA
Height: 28.7mm
Diameter: 22mm

Decorative ring
Height: 5.4mm
Diameter: 25mm

In the box:

1 * Tobhino BF RDA
1 * E-liquid Bottle
2 * Clapton Coil
1 * Cotton
1 * 810 Top Cap
2 * User Manual
1 * Warning Card
Spare Parts

First Thoughts

I didn’t have to open the box as there is a clear front panel, but my initial thoughts were on the size, its small and cute! Tom sent  me the green honeycomb design Luxotic which I’m actually quite pleased about, lots of mods have the resin finish at the moment and it was rather nice to get something different.

The top cap on the RDA is a little weird looking, and I was surprised to see it with a 510 drip tip, things will get a little hot with that on surely? but we’ll get into that later…. Continue reading “Wismec Luxotic – Luxurious or Luxed Out?”

Joyetech eGo AIO ECO Kit – Reviewed

Is it a straw? Is is a marker Pen? No its the new eGo AIO ECO from Joyetech! (what a mouthfull that was!)

Ok quick little review of the new starter kit from Joyetech, Going to try and keep this short, just a few thoughts. But first off…

eGo AIO ECO Specs:

Size: 14.0mm*113.0mm
E-liquid capacity: 1.2ml
Battery capacity: 650mAh
Coil: BFHN 0.5ohm head
Max charging current: 1A
Color: Black, Red, Blue, Grey, Green

Joyetech eGo AIO ECO Kit – In The Box

2x BFHN 0.5ohm head
1x USB cable
1x Silicon ring
1x Quick Start
1x Warranty card
1x Warning card

All About The AIO ECO

Ok its small, that small in fact it could indeed be mistaken for a permanent marker pen. Its the same kind of size and shape.

It has a 650mAh battery, that fires at a constant 1.85v output, and you have a 0.5ohm coil so this gives you around about 6.8w. It does feel like more. I only use 2mg (0.2%) nic strength so I’m not really getting a hit from this, but I do believe it was designed for use with nic salts, or at least a higher strength liquid.
