couple of weeks ago the lovely Vapesmarter got in touch and asked if he
could send me something to have a look at, he was interested to hear my
thoughts on a vape device he’d made. Knowing nothing more than this, I
agreed (quite excited actually as it’s been a while since I’ve reviewed a
little run down on Vapesmarter… His name is Stu (and he has the
cutest little dog called Alfie!) he’s a mod maker, and he makes vape
products from sustainable wood that he sources in the UK. Sometimes
adding resin to make Stabwood. Everything is done by hand in his
workshop from start to finish. Stu will liaise with the vaper to agree
design, colours, board, and whatever else is needed to make each vape
device exactly what the customer wants, and each piece is truly unique!
I don’t normally make these kind of blog posts, but I feel that Fogstar really do deserve a shout out for the customer service I received this week.
This week started like any other, approving comments, checking stats on the sites, chatting with members on the forum, reading emails. I noticed an email from Fogstar with an attractive little discount code inside for the Bank Holiday. Now I have needed new batteries for a while now, some of mine are so old they are almost ready to draw their pension and go to a recycling bucket far far away!
So I headed over to Fogstar and to cut a long story short, I ordered 6 Candy Skull 18650’s, a couple of 16350’s (my 16350’s are 8 years old and certainly not capable of running most of todays low ohm coils!) and a pack of battery wraps, as a couple of my batteries are in need of a new outfit!
So Todays review is on the Augvape VX200 box mod, a simple looking dual
18650 mod that packs quite a punch. This was sent to me by Urvapin.com,
so a huge shout out and thank you to those guys n gals over there!
Augvape VX200 Specs:
Material: ABS+PC plastic Size: 87.5*45*29.2mm Standby current: < 100 μA Power range: 5-200 W Voltage range: 0.2-7.2 V Resistance range: 0.05-3.0Ω Output current : 40 A Working efficiency: 94%
In The Box
1x VX200 Box Mod 1x USB Cable 1x User Manual
Initial Thoughts on the Augvape VX200
So my first thoughts when I opened the box was how plain the mod is. Removing it from the box was quite a shocker, there is just no weight to VX200 mod what so ever! Seriously lightweight! 😮
The front and back panels are a kind of see through black plastic, the
sides are a dark grey plastic. The bottom and top, yep you guessed it…
plastic. So if you want something lightweight this will be perfect. It
does however give it a cheap kind of feel.

Initial Impressions on the iStick Rim
I was pretty shocked by the colour and design when I first opened the
box, it’s not what you could call a pretty mod, but it did kind of grow
on me over the next couple of minutes. I got the E-green one, it has a
scaly pattern, but catch it in the light and you can see a blue sheen
over the top
A massive thanks to our newest sponsor Elegomall.com for sending me out
the Gearbox 200w box mod to have a look over. The main point that caught
my eye with this mod was the ‘Wireless charging’ option! Hmmm new
innovation… but how does it perform? Lets see.
Edge-to-edge IML panel, fit in palm of hand perfectly Knob button design, easy to operate VM OMIN chip supports wireless 1.5A fast charging 2.5A quick charging save time OLED screen display Size: 26 x 55 x 92mm Battery: Dual 18650 Working Voltage: 6.4-8.4V Charging Current: 2.5A Temperature: 2100℃~300℃ Wireless Charging: 1.5A(10W)
In The Box:
1 x Gear Box Mod 1 x USB Cable 1 x Wireless Charger 1 x User Manual
the Ecofri Gear Box Mod comes pretty well packaged (but don’t all mods
these days!) And my first look at the mod left me quite impressed, it’s
actually not a bad looking mod at all. I really like the gunmetal finish
on the edges, and this also looks like its lacquered too giving it a
bit of extra protection from knocks and scratches.
This was sent to me by one of our old sponsors, and I’ve only just got
round to having a little play with it. So this isn’t going to be a full
review, but more of a ‘quick look around’ the Tinker, and a few thoughts
on the mod.
Thanks to Vapesourcing for your sponsorship over the last 12 months, and this is the Wismec Tinker.
Initial Thoughts On The Wismec Tinker
the Tinker is a triple 18650 battery mod, that can reach 300w! The last
triple battery mod I owned was the very first Realeaux… I took it out
of the box, popped the batteries in, took them back out, put it back in
the box and sold it! The weight of 3 batteries in a mod just isn’t for
me, and it wasn’t comfy to hold either.
So the Tinker is inspired by a classic Nike sport shoe! What the?…..
A huge shout-out to Urvaping.com for sending me out the latest in the
Tesla Punk line up. The Punk 86w is a tube mod, takes me back to when I
first started vaping, box mods weren’t even a thing back then!
my last Tesla, the Punk 85w, I absolutely loved, it was a box mod,
was…. When I love a mod I tend to use it all the time, and after using
the Punk 85w for around 3 months solid, the fire button stopped being
quite so clicky and ended up misfiring more than firing, so
unfortunately that mod got shelved!
Anyhow… lets take a look at the Tesla Punk 86w cylinder mod.
I’m going to start this review by declaring my undying love for the
Wotofo Profile RDA! Yes I truly-madly-deeply love that little guy, with
his mesh coil and huge cotton heart! Seriously at this moment in time
(and for the last few months) The Profile RDA has been the only RDA that
I have used happily and with no problems.
So you can imagine my
excitement when Wotofo contacted me to let me know they were sending
the Profile Unity RTA! A tank version of the Profile!
Profile Unity RTA is a collaboration between Wotofo, MrJustRight1 and
The Vapor Chronicles, and I was expecting nothing short of wonderful
from this RTA!
A huge shout out to Vapesourcing.com for sending me the Sinuous V80 from
Wismec to have a little looky at. I had a Sinuous P80 a couple of years
ago, one of the first ones they did and it was a decent little device,
in fact it accompanied me to Florida on holiday and it did great. So
lets see how the V80compares….
Wismec Sinuous V80 Specs

Initial Thoughts on the Wismec Sinuous Kit
Sinuous kit comes well packaged, and looks really cool when you take
the lid off the box. I got a green one, and its not a bad looking little
kit. Removing it from the box, and you can tell that it’s a budget
device. It’s made from some kind of plastic, and what looks like
aluminium top plate and battery cover. This of course means that the mod
is extremely light, even after you have a popped a battery in.
