Eleaf iJust ECM Review & A Feeling Of “Déjà Vu”

Ceekays vape shack sponsors Vapesourcing.com sent me the Eleaf ECM kit to have a play with, it’s a stick type device. Very similar to the last iJust 3 device that I reviewed a while ago, so will be interesting to what the difference is, if there’s any at all  :dunno:

iJust ECM Specs

Diameter: 25mm
Height: 136mm
E-liquid capacity: 4ml
Battery capacity: Built-in 3000mAh Battery
Output wattage: 40W max
Resistance range: 0.1Ω-3.0Ω

Eleaf iJust ECM Kit – In The Box

1 x iJust ECM Battery
1 x iJust ECM Atomizer
1 x EC-N 0.15ohm Head
1 x EC-M 0.15ohm Head
1 x USB Cable
2 x User Manuals
Spare Parts

Initial Thoughts

Well the iJust ECM comes in 4 beautiful colours, and black! And guess which one I got  So not terribly impressed by the colour, looks wise it’s very similar to the iJust 3, with a couple of differences. Different patterns on the battery, and the tank is slightly different too. The button on the last one was a hexagon, the button on the ECM is triangular… so they have changed a few things, but still playing on shapes.

Smok Novo Pod System – Is It Just ‘Another’ Pod?

It’s no secret that I hate Pod systems, hate with a pure driven passion. Probably because they don’t do anything for me, and I find them hard work, hard to draw on, especially if they’re an auto battery.

So when the Smok Novo Pod system turned up at my door, courtesy of Vapesourcing.com it was kind of a ‘M’eh’ moment!

I intend to do a quick review, my thoughts and then this pod can go back in it’s box….

Smok Novo Specs:

Parameters
Size: 88.3×24.3×14.3mm
Battery Capacity: 450mAh
Power Range: 10W-16W
Standby Current: <200uA
Capacity: 2ml

In The Box:

1×NOVO Mod
2×Pod(No e-liquid)
1×USB Cable
1×User Manual

The Smok Novo Pod

Opening the box and… well the Smok Novo is ok to look at, I’ve seen worse. I have the blue one with a kind of silver snakeskin type pattern on it. There’s the Smok logo on one side, and the Novo logo on the other. The edge all around the pod is metal. It doesn’t look bad if I’m honest. One side has a small light in the centre, and this lights up as you vape.

Initial Thoughts

The Medea came nicely packaged in a strong box, but let’s face it, most mods are in decent packaging these days. Opening the packaging and I was actually quite shocked, the Meadea was much bigger than I had expected!  :oooo: Yes its a dual 18650 mod, but it could be smaller! Maybe its the pattern that is around the outside, the contours, which are very nice I might add, but if it was a flat finish I believe it could knock a centimetre off the size.

Anyhow, Its a brushed steel body and then it looks painted/laquered over the top and it really is a lovely finish. I got the blue one, it’s a stunning colour it really does suit the design. The blue almost looks like silk as the light reflects off the contours  There is no Medea logo, only the brand name Nikola on the battery door. Initial Thoughts on the Delux

So the Hugo Vapor Delux, a bit of a weird one in my opinion! It comes in a flip top box and you’ll find it nestled in some velvety packing foam, along with a smaller box to one that holds the USB cable, instantly I find myself taking a bit of a dislike to the shape. Its kind of oblong shaped with a circle part at the top, it’s kind of retro looking, and reminds me of something you would find in an old sci fi movie….  Continue reading “Hugo Vapor Delux Review”

Wismec Luxotic MF Mod Review

This was sent to me by Vapesourcing.com for the purpose of this review so a huge shout out and thanks to them

The Luxotic MF is a bit of an all rounder in the vaping world, it can be a single battery squonk mod, or a dual battery VW wattage/temp control mod. The big feature with the mod is that you can change the 100w board for a direct output board that makes it run like a mech mod. This can be used in either dual battery configuration or single battery squonk configuration… The confusing thing seems to be, why add the direct output board when you can run the 100w chip in bypass mode?

Initial Thoughts

So on opening the box you’re met with a whole array of spare parts, the mod, the direct output board. The guillotine 2 RDA, which I’m actually not going to do a full review on, although I will give a few thoughts on this.

WOTOFO Profile RDA with MrJustRight1

A massive thanks to WOTOFO for sending out the ProFile for me to cast my beady eyes over. The ProFile is a collaboration with Joel Robinson AKA MrJustRight1 (Do Not google Mr Just Right!! just dont do it!  :fp2: ) but if you want to know more about him, he has been consulted for many projects in the vape industry, and he’s also a vape advocate, and if you watch his video over on his channel (link at the bottom) he seems like a pretty nice fella too.

WOTOFO Profile RDA Specs

1. Flavour can be broken down layer upon layer
2. Break-through mesh style heating element
3. Easy to switch between mesh and wire coils
4. Spring-loaded ceramic support ensuring contact between mesh and cotton
5. 24mm sleeve with accurate air inflow
6. Experience from cool vape to warm vape
7. Up to 30 puffs at 75W before needing to re-saturate the wick when using pancake wicking method

In The Box

1pc Profile RDA
1pc User Manual
1pc 6mm Agleted Cotton Strip
1pc Extra 810 Drip Tip
1pc Bending Tool
1bag Clapton Coil
1bag Mesh Style Coil Sheets
1bag Extra Orings & Screws

Initial Thoughts on the ProFile RDA

Wotofo always seem to pack out their boxes with plenty of extra’s. Little tools. Spare o-rings, coils, mesh, and cotton that looks like half a shoe lace! I love the way they do this, getting extra’s makes the whole unpacking experience so exciting!
Anyhow, the Profile RDA… I have to say I really love the look of this, the machining and finish is excellent. I have the blue one and the colour is lovely, along with a resin type matching 810 low profile mouth piece (there is a slightly higher one in the box if the resin one is a little too close to the cap for you) the only thing I’m not so keen on is the logo, its the word ‘ProFile’ immersed in clouds! It’s fun looking I guess, but it could have been a bit more more on the classy side. Continue reading “WOTOFO Profile RDA with MrJustRight1”

Eleaf iStick Amnis with GS Drive – Review

Massive thanks to Eleaf for sending out the iStick Amnis kit for me to take a look over. With GS Drive!….. makes it sound like you can sit in it and go for a ride!. Actually the GS Drive is a tank (not a sit in tank, a vape tank!)  :laughtears:

Istick Amnis Specs

Output wattage: 30W max
Resistance range: 0.15-3ohm
Rubber paint finish

E-liquid capacity: 2ml
Uses GS air coils – including new Mesh coil
Retractable top fill with child lock

In the Box

Eleaf iStick Amnis mod
Eleaf GS Drive tank
GS Air Mesh 0.35ohm coil
GS Air 0.75ohm coil
QC USB Cable
Spare parts
User manual

Initial Thoughts

So this is back to the days of small and cute in something that isn’t a pod! (thank gawd for that!)
The Amnis kit comes in 2 sections, the battery and the tank. The battery is nicely curved to fit the shape of your hand, making it super comfy to hold, and it has that rubber paint finish (which I am really starting to appreciate) The paint gives the battery a super smooth finish, and makes it more resistant to chipping and scratching if you have this in your pocket, or you’re clumsy like me and prone to dropping things  :oooo:

I have had a couple of the Ego AIOs over the years, and have always liked the compactness and design of these little pen type devices, and this one is no different. The Aio is white, with a modern red line design (it looks rather like the London underground map!  ) The paintwork has a matte finish, overall it looks very nice.
