Eleaf iJust ECM Review & A Feeling Of “Déjà Vu”

Ceekays vape shack sponsors Vapesourcing.com sent me the Eleaf ECM kit to have a play with, it’s a stick type device. Very similar to the last iJust 3 device that I reviewed a while ago, so will be interesting to what the difference is, if there’s any at all  :dunno:

iJust ECM Specs

Diameter: 25mm
Height: 136mm
E-liquid capacity: 4ml
Battery capacity: Built-in 3000mAh Battery
Output wattage: 40W max
Resistance range: 0.1Ω-3.0Ω

Eleaf iJust ECM Kit – In The Box

1 x iJust ECM Battery
1 x iJust ECM Atomizer
1 x EC-N 0.15ohm Head
1 x EC-M 0.15ohm Head
1 x USB Cable
2 x User Manuals
Spare Parts

Initial Thoughts

Well the iJust ECM comes in 4 beautiful colours, and black! And guess which one I got  So not terribly impressed by the colour, looks wise it’s very similar to the iJust 3, with a couple of differences. Different patterns on the battery, and the tank is slightly different too. The button on the last one was a hexagon, the button on the ECM is triangular… so they have changed a few things, but still playing on shapes.

Smok Novo Pod System – Is It Just ‘Another’ Pod?

It’s no secret that I hate Pod systems, hate with a pure driven passion. Probably because they don’t do anything for me, and I find them hard work, hard to draw on, especially if they’re an auto battery.

So when the Smok Novo Pod system turned up at my door, courtesy of Vapesourcing.com it was kind of a ‘M’eh’ moment!

I intend to do a quick review, my thoughts and then this pod can go back in it’s box….

Smok Novo Specs:

Size: 88.3×24.3×14.3mm
Battery Capacity: 450mAh
Power Range: 10W-16W
Standby Current: <200uA
Capacity: 2ml

In The Box:

1×NOVO Mod
2×Pod(No e-liquid)
1×USB Cable
1×User Manual

The Smok Novo Pod

Opening the box and… well the Smok Novo is ok to look at, I’ve seen worse. I have the blue one with a kind of silver snakeskin type pattern on it. There’s the Smok logo on one side, and the Novo logo on the other. The edge all around the pod is metal. It doesn’t look bad if I’m honest. One side has a small light in the centre, and this lights up as you vape.

The Nikola Medea Mod – Reviewed

Massive thanks to the folks over at Urvapin.com for sending out the Nikola Medea for me to try. The Medea has been out for a while now, and it’s a mod that I have drooled over everytime I’ve seen it posted on the forum, so I was eager to get my mitts on this and try it out!

Initial Thoughts

The Medea came nicely packaged in a strong box, but let’s face it, most mods are in decent packaging these days. Opening the packaging and I was actually quite shocked, the Meadea was much bigger than I had expected!  :oooo: Yes its a dual 18650 mod, but it could be smaller! Maybe its the pattern that is around the outside, the contours, which are very nice I might add, but if it was a flat finish I believe it could knock a centimetre off the size.

Anyhow, Its a brushed steel body and then it looks painted/laquered over the top and it really is a lovely finish. I got the blue one, it’s a stunning colour it really does suit the design. The blue almost looks like silk as the light reflects off the contours  There is no Medea logo, only the brand name Nikola on the battery door. Joyetech Batpack Kit Review

Thanks to Urvapin for sending out the Joyetech Batpack for me to have a vape on and let you folks know what I think. This is another innovative device as it utilizes Double A batteries, yep batteries that you can pop into the supermarket and buy!!

Joyetech state:

AA batteries have been a long accepted safe power source and it only made sense to utilize them in a vaporizer. You can not only use the normal AA batteries but also use the AA Ni-MH rechargeable batteries, which are all very convenient to buy in the supermarket. The Batpack is incredibly simple and convenient to use and now with ECO technology. ECO Tech still provides the best vaping experience but allows the battery to have a very low output. This extends the battery life by almost double.

Fab! Lets have a look…

Joyetech Batpack Specs:

Weight: 88.0g
E-liquid capacity: 2.0ml
Colors: Gold, Dazzling, Green, Red/Gold, Black/Blue, Dark Blue/Pink
Applicable head: BFHN 0.5ohm head
Applicable battery: 2 * AA Ni-MH rechargeable batteries/ normal AA batteries

In The Box:

1 * Batpack
1 * Joye ECO D16 Atomizer
2 * AA Ni-MH Cells (optional)
2 * BFHN 0.5ohm Head
2 * Manual
1 * Warranty Card
2 * Warning Card
Spare Parts

Initial Thoughts on the Batpack

The little device comes well packaged, and opening the box my first thoughts where “Aww how cute!”  :love2: It really is a small, sweet little device. Mine is blue and pink, and removing it from the box it actually feels quite a solid little mod. Continue reading “Joyetech Batpack Kit Review”

Vandy Vape Berserker MTL RTA Review

I’ve been vaping for just over 7 years, and 6 of those were spent mouth to lung inhaling. It’s only the last 12 ish months that I have started direct lung inhaling and that’s mainly because most products are sub ohm direct lung inhale tanks and RDA’s.

I know that Vandy Vape had released the Berserker MTL RDA, but when I saw they had also released the RTA (tank version) I was just desperate to try it.

So massive thanks to the folks over at Fasttech for sending this out, and lets take a look at it.

Berserker RTA specs

24mm Diameter
Top fill design
Easy-to-build two posts deck, supporting single coil
Gold plated 510 pin
Capacity: 2.0 / Easy switch to 4.5ml capacity with extra glass tube
Designed for mouth-to-lung (MTL) vaping
Simple possibility of a real cigarette tightening
Bottom airflow, huge air channels
Adjustable airhole sizes, 0.1mm, 1.0mm, 1.2mm, 1.4mm, 1.6mm
Ultem drip tip and extra Delrin drip tip included
Stainless steel construction
510 threading connection

In The Box

1x Berserker MTL RTA
1x 4.5ml glass tube
1x Accessory bag
1x 510 Delrin drip tip

Looks & Initial Thoughts

I instantly loved the Berserker as soon as I opened the box! I got the rainbow colour, and it just looks a fun kind of tank. It feels rather heavy once converted to the 4.5ml size, and does feel really good quality. The threads on the top cap and base are nice and smooth with good quality machining. Vandy Vape Pulse 80w Squonk Mod Review

The lovely Lucy at Cvapor sent this to me for review, and I especially wanted this when it first got talked about. Using the Gene chip would have been awesome for this mod, as in my opinion it was a great chip in the Drag (One of the very few things I liked about the Voopoo Drag) Anyhow things went awry, as they often do in business, and the Pulse 80w ended up with Vandy Vape sticking their own chip in this. So… here we go.

Pulse 80w specs

Size    82*56*27mm
Power range – 5-80W
Outout voltage – 0.5-8.5V
Resistance range – 0.05-3.0ohm(VW)/0.05-1.5ohm(TC)
Temperature range – 200℉-600℉/ 100℃-315℃
Colors – Lava Red, Fantastic Blue, Seaweed Green, Aurora Rainbow
510 connector with the creative leaking proof design

In The Box

1*Pulse BF 80W Box Mod
1*8ml Squonk Bottle
1*QC USB Cable
1*Instructional Manual
1*18650 Battery Adaptor

Looks & Initial Thoughts

So on opening the box, I wasn’t particularly overwhelmed by the look of the Pulse 80w  :no2: the resin seemed dull, and not quite the colourful look that I was expecting. I have the lava red, and it looks nothing like the shiny colours that you see in the pics in the vendor shots. There is a section of the door panel that doesn’t sit flush against the mod  :fp2: The entire Pulse has a plasticky feel to it (and the finish, I have found is a right dust magnet!) but it’s a decent size, not too big and fairly comfy to hold, and with it being plastic means it’s pretty lightweight too. Teslacigs Punk 85w Review

A huge thanks to Fasttech who sent the Teslacigs Punk 80w out for review. I know these have been out for ages now, it’s just one mod that I never seemed to get round to getting hold of, now I have one, do I love it?…

Punk 85w Specs

Cell Type: One Hi-Rate 18650 cell

Resistance Range: 0.1-3.0ohm for Ti/Ni200/SS316/TCR mode
Temperature Range: 100-300℃/200-600°F

In the box

1 *  Punk 85w Mod
1 * USB Cable
1 * User Manual

Initial Thoughts

The box reminded me a little bit of the Apple products box, all white with the image of the Punk 80w outline printed on in gold, and lots of little embossed steam-punk cogs and gears in the corners.  So, pretty nicely packaged, but on removing the lid from the box, I was in awe at this cute little rainbow coloured mod! You do get a very posh looking braided charging cable in the box, along with an instruction manual that you may need a magnifying glass to read!  :fp2: Continue reading “Teslacigs Punk 85w Review”

Vaptio Solo F2 Review

Wotcha folks! I had the Vaptio Solo F2 arrive from the lovely folks over at Eco Vapes, along with a couple of bottles of Psycho Bunny eliquid which…. sorry, the Kosh cake, the cake is yummy, the other flavour in there not so much! The second bottle, nope… way too perfumey for me! But a huge thanks for the gesture  If anyone fancies giving Psycho Bunny liquids a try, then do! They really are full of flavour!

So onto the Solo F2

Vaptio Solo F2 Specs:

Dimensions: 22 * 127.5mm
Battery Capacity: 2200mAh
Output Wattage: 50W
Resistance Range: 0.2~3.0ohm
Output Voltage: 4.2V

In The Box

1 * SOLO F2
2 * FROGMAN-X2 0.25Ω NiCr
1 * User Manual
1 * USB Cable
1 * Glass Tube

Initial Thoughts on the Solo F2

Opening the box I was greeted by a nice carbon fibre design, tube type mod. The carbon looks really glossy and has a nice smooth feel to it, so Im assuming it has some kind of lacquer finish to it. It’s classed at grey, but it has a lovely silver shimmer.

Unfortunately due to our EU laws it has a small 2ml tank, this is joined onto the battery as the Solo F2 in an all-in-one kit.
And for an AIO pen style mod its a nice size, fits comfortably into the hand, not too big, and not too much weight to it.

It does look very stylish and classy but without being super huge and in your face like most box mods out there. Continue reading “Vaptio Solo F2 Review”

Eleaf iStick Pico S Review

A huge thanks to Tom over at Vapesourcing.com for sending me the iStick Pico S out to review. I have always loved the Pico range, and have vaped several of the standard Pico’s to death!

Lets start with the specs, and what you get for your money…

Pico S Specs

Size: 52.5mm * 28.5mm * 128mm
E-liquid capacity: 6.5ml
Battery type: 21700 / 18650
Output wattage: 100W max
Output voltage: 0.5V-9V
Resistance range: 0.05Ω-3.0Ω (VW/Bypass mode)
0.05Ω-1.5Ω (TC-Ni/Ti/SS/M1/M2/M3 mode)

In The Box:

1×iStick Pico S Box Mod (No Cell)
1×ELLO VATE Atomizer 6.5ml
1×HW-N 0.2ohm Head
1×HW-M 0.15ohm Head
1×QC USB Cable
2×User Manuals Spare Parts

Looks & Initial Thoughts

First off, I’m going to bypass the fact that the kit is black! If you know me, you know that I hate black vape gear! So, moving on…

The Pico S retains the basic shape of the original Pico’s, fire button stays in the same place, and the screen too. The biggest makeover seems to be that the whole battery tube unscrews, and there is now a gap between the battery sleeve and the rest of the mod. In between these 2 sections there are a row of LED’s that flash when the button is pressed, and reflect on the battery tube. This seems a little strange as they are mostly hidden, however if you want a mod with lights that aren’t ‘in your face’ then this fits the bill  Continue reading “Eleaf iStick Pico S Review”

Eleaf iStick Pico Baby Review – ‘Stealth Anyone?’

Massive thanks to Tom over at vapesourcing.com who sent me out a couple of things to try this month. One of them being the very teeny Eleaf iStick Pico Baby! Sure has a long name for such a little thing… I’m just gonna call it the Pico baby

Pico Baby Specs

Size: 41mm*23mm*75mm
Tank diameter: 16.5mm
Weight: 112.8g
E-liquid capacity: 2ml
Battery capacity: 1050mAh
Output wattage: 25W max
Resistance range: 0.4Ω-3.0Ω

In the Box

1× iStick Pico Baby Battery
1× GS Baby Atomizer
1× Magnetic Connector
2× GS Air 0.75ohm Heads
1× USB Cable
2× User Manuals
Spare Parts

Initial Thoughts & Looks

So when I opened the box the first thing to greet me was the colour, I think it’s supposed to be purple but it’s more of a magenta/pink kind of colour. I like it, it’s feminine and fun!

I’ve always loved Pico’s, I’ve got through 3 of the standard pico’s (I kind of worked them to death!)
And I’ve always loved cute, small little novelty type mods, so this ticks both of those boxes. The thing is though small and cute mods don’t really cut it for me anymore, I’m more used to larger devices now. But… I’ll give small and cute a go  Continue reading “Eleaf iStick Pico Baby Review – ‘Stealth Anyone?’”
